This is a common misconception about goal pursuit: We believe that we have to actually feel like it. We don’t. And, with many of the tasks in our lives, we won’t feel like it… ever! The thing is, our motivational state does not need to match the intention. We can do something even if we do not feel like it. [..] successful athletes do this every day.
